This Bali private tour is made for travellers who like to take an island slowly. Over six days you move from the green, spiritual heart of Ubud into the cool highlands and back down to the calm shoreline of Sanur, with every transfer and touring day privately arranged.

Three Nights in an Ubud Pool Villa

Your first three nights are at Visesa Ubud, set among working rice fields just north of the town and designed in the spirit of a traditional Balinese village.

The One-Bedroom Rice Field Pool Villa is entirely your own: 124 square metres, a king-size bed beneath a vaulted timber ceiling, a rain shower and bathtub, an open-air living terrace and a private pool looking out across the paddies.

What You Will See on This 6 Day Bali Itinerary

Walk the Campuhan Ridge above the jungle, then visit the Sacred Monkey Forest and Tegenungan Waterfall. In the highlands, explore the spice plantations of Munduk and the rice terraces of Jatiluwih, part of Bali’s UNESCO-listed subak landscape.

Day 01 :

Selamat Datang — Arrival in Ubud

Your private driver will be waiting in the arrivals hall at Ngurah Rai International Airport. The drive north into Ubud takes around ninety minutes, winding through villages and paddy fields as the island slowly reveals itself.

Settle into your One-Bedroom Rice Field Pool Villa at Visesa Ubud, set among working rice fields just north of the town, and let the rest of the evening be entirely your own.

Day 02 :

Ridges, Sacred Forest & Waterfalls

Begin with an easy morning walk along the Campuhan Ridge, a grassy spine between two river valleys with sweeping views across the Ubud countryside, followed by fresh young coconut to refresh.

Continue to the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, a village-protected forest sheltering three ancient temples and a lively troop of long-tailed macaques. From there, the Tegenungan Waterfall, where Balinese tradition holds that the waters cleanse and protect.

The afternoon is unhurried at The River Club: lunch overlooking the jungle, time by the pool and, for the adventurous, the famous Bali swing above the valley.

Day 03 :

Into the Highlands — Munduk, Jatiluwih & Batukaru

Head north into the cool mountain air of Munduk. With your guide, walk among coffee, clove and cacao plantations and hear how these hillside spices once drew European traders across the oceans, pausing at a secluded waterfall along the way.

Descend to Jatiluwih, whose sweeping rice terraces form part of Bali's UNESCO-listed subak landscape, an irrigation system shared by farming communities for over a thousand years. Lunch is at the Bamboo Forest Restaurant, before a quiet visit to Pura Luhur Batukaru, a forest temple on the slopes of Mount Batukaru.

Day 04 :

Art, Spirit & the Road to the Sea

After breakfast, bid farewell to Ubud. The morning opens with the Barong and Kris dance, a vivid performance of the eternal contest between good and evil. Visit the silversmiths of Celuk and the master woodcarvers of Mas, then the holy spring of Tirta Empul, where the faithful bathe in sacred pools dedicated to the god Indra.

Lunch is served at Kintamani, looking out across the caldera of Mount Batur and its crater lake. On the return, pass the terraces of Tegallalang, browse a celebrated Ubud gallery and the batik studios of Tohpati, before continuing to the coast and your beachfront welcome in Sanur.

Day 05 :

Sanur at Leisure
